Reasons why teen pregnancy is so high
  • Traditionally, it was normal to have a lot of children and become pregnant at an early age
  • Boyfriend/husband say that they will love them more
  • Young girls are pressured by /have older men
  • The environment around here has adopted to the teen pregnancy (some forgot it is a problem)
  • Peer pressure
  • Hormones
  • Rape
  • Prostitution
  • By accident
  • Young marriage sometimes forced
  • No condom
  • To have someone to love them back (neglected as a child)
  • Want to be cool
  • Want to have their own life/ family
  • Want to get out of the house
  • Give them freedom
  • Feel they should do it to show their love
  • Curiosity
  • So that couples can be together (parents won’t let them be together)
  • Pressure from boy/girl friend
  • Still young and don’t know what they are doing
  • Want to have a child and start their life early
  • Get away from their family
  • Doing their own thing
  • Want to get pregnant when they are young not old
  • Not using protection /No condom
  • Stress/depression
